Russian express operator SPSR Express has signed a partnership agreement with the Russian Export Center (REC) to develop logistics solutions for Russian exporters and create an e-commerce platform for listing products across online marketplaces and stores worldwide.
To boost sales of Russian goods and services online, the two companies will assist Russian producers in registering, creating online stores and placing the products on international B2C and B2B online marketplaces. The agreement also covers the subsequent support of Russian producers. This includes, in particular, international product adaptation, patenting and intellectual property protection, as well as marketing and support related to insurance and credit guarantees.
“Our partnership will focus not only on delivering goods abroad to international shoppers. We will also provide a wide range of additional services – help manufacturers determine promising segments for exporting, organise sales activities and listings on international online platforms and consult them on customs clearance procedures,” Vladimir Solodkin, SPSR Express CEO, said.
“Export is an important segment with great growth potential for SPSR Express. According to forecasts, export growth through e-commerce will amount to 30-60% in the coming years with sales estimated to reach at least $3.9 billion by 2020,” he stated.
Petr Fradkov, REC Group CEO, commented: “Today, e-commerce is one of the most exciting industries for export growth and we actively attract all dedicated parties to participate in this process. As a strong industrial player, SPSR Express is an extremely important partner for us. Our mutual efforts will target logistics solutions, as well as sales stimulation through e-commerce channels.”
