Andre Veskimeister took over as Head of Parcels at Estonian postal group Omniva at the start of November and has joined the management board. He was previously CEO of the media distribution group Ekspress Meedia and then supervisory board chairman of the overall Ekspress Grupp.
Ansi Arumeel, Chairman of Omniva’s Management Board, said the main factors contributing to Veskimeister’s appointment were his experience in the volatile and competitive media business and management experience across three countries. “The media industry has gone through great changes, much like the postal world. I believe that Andre’s experience and customer-oriented approach will help to take the parcels business to new heights,” he commented.
Veskimeister added: “I am convinced that our activities in the next few years will allow continuing the trend of innovation and investing the increasing profit into the long-term success of Omniva.”
