SF Airlines, the in-house carrier of China’s SF Express, has expanded its fleet to 50 cargo planes and expanded its international network with a new route to Bangkok.
On December 24, SF Airlines launched scheduled flights between Lanzhou and Bangkok, connecting north-west China with Thailand. The route is being operated with a B757 freighter that carries mostly general cargo and fresh products, according to the airline.
The Chinese group’s fleet now comprises one B747-400F, five B767-300s, 27 B757-200s, three B737-400s and 14 B737-300s. Overall, SF Airlines now flies between more than 50 cities and regions within China as well as to various international destinations.
In addition, Atlas Air announced last September that it would operate a B747-400F for SF Express between China and the USA with effect from October.
