DPD BeLux launches myDPD app

DPD is rolling out its award-winning myDPD app in Belgium and Luxembourg as the latest markets after the UK and Germany.

Thanks to this application, available for iOS and Android, users will now be able to track the status and the location of each of their parcels anytime and anywhere. On the application, they will also be able to change the place or the date of delivery themselves, right up to the last minute.

DPD is thus offering unrivalled user experience to its customers. They will no longer have to stay in and wait for the delivery to arrive, and the number of missed deliveries will decrease considerably. Moreover, while myDPD is DPD’ solution for parcel tracking, in Belgium the app also displays a link to DPD Web Parcel, the parcel reservation solution.

The myDPD app is based on DPD’s innovative Live Tracking functionality. It enables a close tracking of the parcel’s status on the delivery day. In addition to being informed of a one-hour time slot when their parcel will be delivered, the recipient can also see on a map exactly where the delivery vehicle is, and the number of stops it still has to make before it reaches them. The myDPD app enables them to change the place or the time of the delivery, right up to the last minute.

If the delivery day does not suit customers, they can change the delivery planning themselves through the myDPD app and choose the time of delivery from four options: change the date of delivery, change the place of delivery, have the parcel left in a safe place, or have it dropped off at a parcelshop Pickup point.

DPD said it is going to continue to develop the app and the portal over the coming months, in particular by working on the push notifications.

“By developing our myDPD app and portal, we want to increase to as high as possible the percentage of successful deliveries. This avoids our customers feeling frustrated at missing a delivery and having to stay at home all day. This innovative app is marking a new milestone in our ambition to become the reference player on the Belgian market as regards parcel delivery,” said Silvio Mestdagh, CEO of DPD BeLux.
