Geek+ and Reesink Logistic Solutions announce new European partnership

Geek+ and Reesink sign contract

Robotics and AI firm Geek+ has teamed up with system integrator Reesink Logistic Solutions in a non-exclusive cooperation to deploy autonomous mobile robot (AMR) technologies in businesses across Europe.

The partnership includes the entire Geek+ product range, including robots that handle picking, sorting and industrial material handling for logistics and warehouse automation, and will target Northern Europe with a focus on the Netherlands, Germany and Poland.

Geek+ was founded in China in 2015 and first entered the European market in 2019. The firm now has offices in seven countries around the world and recently announced that it has now successfully deployed its smart logistics technology in 16 countries in Europe, with Hungary being the latest addition. Customers include household names such as Asda and DB Schenker.

Geek+ offers six AMR product lines, covering warehouse tasks such as picking, moving, sorting, forklift, shuttle and collaborative robots. Its goods-to-person picking robots, the P-800, are in operation around the world.

The firm has also launched the new PopPick solution, which it claims is the “pinnacle of goods-to-person AMR technology”. PopPick is an all-in-one solution that can handle small, medium, and large containers, as well as full pallets, according to Geek+.

Earlier this year, the company also launched a multilevel storage and retrieval system called Sky-Storage & Ground-Pick. The solution uses Geek+’s X-series four-way shuttle robots to boost storage density while devoting the ground floor to picking operations entrusted to the flagship P800 robots.

RLS, meanwhile, is the European warehouse automation division of Royal Reesink, a global group of companies headquartered in the Netherlands. With more than 50 years of active presence in the market and over 850 automation projects delivered, RLS is currently one of the strongest system integrators in Europe, offering a wide range of solutions, from warehouse cranes, high bay warehouses, conveyors and shuttle systems, to connecting software integration, and new technologies like AMRs.

“The warehouse automation market is becoming increasingly competitive and dense. In order to stay ahead of future developments, the RLS-companies have always looked for state-of-the-art technologies, to add to the product portfolio. We strongly believe that the Geek+ systems speak for themselves and open a new world of possibilities in our market. We are therefore thrilled about this new partnership and look forward to adding the AMRs to our integrated solutions,” said Gert Bossink, Vice-President of Royal Reesink and Division Director of Reesink Logistic Solutions.

“Geek+ entered the European market in 2019 and has grown the business here at a fantastic pace, accelerating the development of the e-commerce phenomenon in the territory. We are now looking into building a strong and highly professional network of partners and are glad to have Reesink Logistic Solutions among them, with a mature and stable footprint in Europe,” added Jackson Zhang, President of Geek+ Europe.
