French end-to-end automation supplier Solystic and EuroSort, a provider of sorting equipment, have signed a non-exclusive collaboration agreement, which will see the two firms work together on “specific projects” to provide high speed sortation of parcels.

Solystic revealed that it will now be integrating EuroSort’s high-speed parcel sortation equipment on some of its projects to develop fully integrated smart solutions for logistics operations. Neither firm confirmed which “specific projects” the two companies will work together on.

High-speed sortation

Solystic and EuroSort are both leading companies in the parcel and postal sector when it comes to the automation of logistics hubs. Founded in 2001 in Amsterdam, EuroSort specializes in manufacturing high speed unit sortation systems for a variety of warehousing and distribution applications including e-commerce order fulfilment, returns processing, postal sorting, kitting, central fill, and more.

EuroSort’s products, which include the Single Split Tray Sorter, Cross Tray Sorter, and Single Push Tray, can sort 4,000 to 40,000 articles per hour. The company now has more than 400 sorting systems up and running in approximately 40 countries worldwide.

Turn-key automation

Solystic, meanwhile, specializes in designing, deploying and integrating turn-key automation systems for sorting facilities and distribution centres, including innovative features such as the full automation of manual feeding operations. Based in France, the company has to date installed more than 4,000 pieces of equipment worldwide for mail, express and parcels, e-commerce and retail industries.

Speaking about the new partnership, Maurizio Puppo, Director of Strategy and Business Development at Solystic, said: “This partnership is a powerful combination of EuroSort proven sorting products with the Solystic capability to adapt them to a specific process and integrate them in a turn-key, highly automated solution.”

Edwin van Kempen, Commercial Director at EuroSort, added: “EuroSort’s philosophy is selling through integration partners. We are very excited to see that Solystic will be integrating EuroSort sorters in their projects. The added value of Solystic in robotics and intralogistics processes will result in fully integrated smart solutions for logistic operations."
