Cainiao grows as Alibaba expands international e-commerce activities

Alibaba Group’s logistics business Cainiao saw its revenues increase again in the first quarter of its new fiscal year, with the firm benefiting from substantial growth in the Chinese e-commerce giant’s international business, but increased investments in cross-border fulfilment put a big dent in the subsidiary’s earnings.
