Online shopping surge helps Auspost to peak record

E-commerce drives Australia Post B2C parcels growth

Australia Post cited a surge in online shopping, particularly around the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, as the reason for its best-ever peak season performance. 

Recently released figures showed the carrier delivered nearly 103 million parcels this past November and December, with its 2024 peak season representing a new record for the carrier, and a 3.1% increase from the previous year.

According to the carrier, 72% of Australians took advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales in 2024, fuelling a surge in online shopping and parcel deliveries.
