FedEx has rolled out its Picture Proof of Delivery (PPOD) service in China to enhance the e-commerce delivery experience in the country and provide customers with reassurance that their packages have been delivered.
The feature enables customers to receive photographic evidence of their packages being delivered, further streamlining residential deliveries where signatures are not required.
This launch comes amid a significant increase in China’s cross-border e-commerce market. According to Chinese government data, the total value of cross-border e-commerce imports and exports in 2024 reached RMB 2.63 trillion, marking a 10.8% year-on-year increase.
