Eric Malitzke named DPD Germany CEO as Winkelmann moves to Paris

DPD Germany has appointed Eric Malitzke to join as the company’s new CEO in 2020, replacing Boris Winkelmann, who will take over new responsibilities at the Paris headquarters.

Before joining the international DPDgroup in the French capital, Winkelmann, who has been CEO of DPD Germany since 2013, will prepare the handover to his successor. Malitzke will then take over next year, after a training phase of several months.

As CEO of Fiege Switzerland, Eric Malitzke was in charge for the international Fiege Group since 2015, which is one of Europe’s leading contract logistics providers. Before he served as Director Operations at Amazon since 2012 and opened Amazon’s distribution centres in Poland. He started his career at Fraport AG, afterwards he was managing director of the Leipzig/Halle airport since 2003. By 2009 he joined Deutsche Post DHL to become CEO of the Leipzig based European DHL hub.
