Omniva names Joona Saluveer as new CEO

Joona Saluveer will take over as the new chairperson of the Omniva management board on 1 May 2017 on a five-year contract, replacing Aavo Kärmas whose contract expires at the end of April.

Merike Saks, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Post, said Aavo Kärmas, the current chairperson of the management board, has made a major contribution to the development of the company. “I am very grateful to Aavo for his work. Under his leadership, Eesti Post became a strong international company whose potential can be fulfilled by the new chairperson.”

Joona Saluveer has been the head of Omniva’s Latvian business unit since 2012. Before Omniva, he was working in Lithuania as the head of various Estonian enterprises, such as Prike and Stokker. Saluveer has a master’s degree in business administration from Tartu University and a bachelor’s degree from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
