South African Post Office (SAPO) creditors have approved a new Business Rescue Plan, developed to save the crisis-hit postal operator, which will see more than 50% of its nearly 12,000-strong workforce lose their jobs and its branch network scaled back to “rationalise unsustainable costs” and develop a “future-proofed” business.
