Both retailers and carriers in China have reported record-breaking sales and volumes for Singles Day 2023 (November 11), with parcel volumes up by +15% and early predictions suggesting that gross merchandise value (GMV) has increased by +2% year-on-year, as consumer spending slowly bounces back in the country following its economic downturn.
