US lawmakers want to tighten de minimis import rules

A bipartisan group of lawmakers in the US has put forward a new bill which aims to halt the flood of illicit packages into the country by tightening import requirements for low-value packages – a move which could make it harder for companies such as Shein and Temu to ship their products stateside.
