Nordic logistics group Posten Bring has started work on a new sustainable logistics centre in Bergen, representing the firm’s largest ever investment in the Norwegian region.
The new hub, which will be located at the Lyseparken commercial area in the Bjørnafjorden municipality, is set to open in 2027 and will bring together Posten Bring’s existing facilities in Minde and Jekteviken in Bergen.
Posten Bring CEO Petter-Børre Furberg kicked off the construction process last Friday (March 28), noting that the breaking ground ceremony was a “big milestone” for the company.
“Finally, after 10 years of waiting, the first sod can be laid for our new terminal in the Bergen region,” he said. “This marks a major boost for the group, our employees and customers here in the region.”
