Logistics automation and software firm Fortna has announced new strategic partnerships with Packsize and Sitma, expanding the company’s ability to deliver end-of-line packaging solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and promote sustainability for its customers.
Packsize, a provider of on-demand packaging, specializes in custom-sized box solutions designed to minimize waste, improve workflow efficiency, and increase operational scalability in packaging environments.
Meanwhile, Italian firm Sitma, a provider of automation solutions for packaging, logistics and distribution, has more than 50 years of expertise in paper mailer technology, serving sectors such as e-commerce, printing, and postal services.
On-demand packaging
According to Fortna, the new partnerships reflect the company’s dedication to supporting customers in reducing waste, optimizing labour, cutting transportation costs, and improving operational flexibility.

Fortna is an end-to-end design-build firm, which solves complex omnichannel and e-commerce distribution challenges with software and automation. Its services and products include distribution centre operational design and implementation, material handling automated equipment, and robotics. Its customers in the logistics space include DPD, Budbee and UPS.
Packsize, meanwhile, has been developing right-sized packaging on demand since 2002. The company’s systems enable businesses to lower material usage and optimize packaging processes, ultimately enhancing environmental responsibility and operational effectiveness.
Finally, Sitma produces packing, wrapping and sortation systems for consumer goods, apparel, frozen food, magazines and more. Recently, the company has been focused on sustainable packaging innovations for e-commerce, making use of eco-friendly materials in right-sized packaging to minimize consumption of those materials and minimize space for more efficient transportation.
