Stefan Gerber has taken over the management of the German trans-o-flex ThermoMed GmbH & Co. KG in addition to running the Austria business while former Hermes Germany chief Frank Iden has joined the Austrian Post subsidiary.
In his new position with trans-o-flex ThermoMed Germany, Gerber directly succeeds Uwe Brosius, who left the company at the end of October upon his own request.
Thus, the management of the German and the Austrian networks for the actively temperature-controlled transport of pharmaceuticals has, for the first time, been assigned to one Managing Director. Until now, Stefan Gerber has been Chief Executive Officer of trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria and will also hold this position in the future.
In addition to the management of trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria, Stefan Gerber has already been responsible for several strategic projects for the trans-o-flex Logistics Group in Germany. This is why he has a good knowledge of both the German network of trans-o-flex Schnell-Lieferdienst and the network of the German ThermoMed organisation.
Ernst Trpak will continue as a Managing Director of the Austrian organisation and Christian Knoblich, Managing Director Sales & Marketing of trans-o-flex Logistics Group, will continue as a Managing Director of ThermoMed GmbH & Co. KG in Germany.
In October, Frank Iden, former CEO of Hermes Logistik Group Germany, joined the trans-o-flex Germany management team. He is responsible for two areas: as Managing Director of trans-o-flex Netzwerk Group GmbH, he will assume the responsibility for the co-operation with the trans-o-flex system partners, who operate a total of 28 locations of the trans-o-flex Schnell-Lieferdienst. In addition to this, as Director Strategy and Corporate Development, he will also be responsible for strategic projects of the trans-o-flex Logistics Group.
Iden has more than 30 years of experience in the logistics business. Prior to working for Hermes, he held various management positions at primeMail, Deutsche Post, TNT and Interfracht.
