EasyPost ships one billion packages
US-based shipping technology company EasyPost has reached the milestone of one billion packages shipped through its API to date.
The company said this “impressive milestone” comes after it achieved record growth in 2020 and entered 2021 with a $100M revenue run rate, over 100 carrier partners – including USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL – and more than 15,000 enterprise customers.
Jarrett Streebin, Founder and CEO of EasyPost, said: “2020 was a transformative year for e-commerce as sales exploded and consumer expectations for fast delivery times remained the same.
“Online merchants quickly realized that in order to preserve customer loyalty and sales, they needed to be able to select the best carrier on a package by package basis. With more than 100 carrier partners, EasyPost is the only company to provide 99.99% uptime to these carriers, at a fraction of the cost.”
Partnerships and services
EasyPost recently unveiled several key partnerships and new product offerings, including:
- The launch of SmartRate, a new API that provides shippers with highly accurate shipment-level transit times based on a historical analysis of billions of shipments across all major and regional carriers. Using SmartRate, merchants can save up to 70% on optimized shipments.
- A partnership with ProShip that combines EasyPost’s PC Postage capabilities with ProShip's best-of-breed enterprise-class shipping system to provide 99.99% uptime for all users in comparison to other PC Postage, ePostage, and eVS providers.
- A partnership with Elevate to offer real-time delivery analytics that allows users to analyze their EasyPost shipment data at scale through Elevate’s data solution.
New marketing director
EasyPost has also expanded its executive team, most recently with the hiring of Carolyn Wilson as Senior Director of Marketing. With deep experience in lead and demand generation strategies and multi-channel account-based marketing (ABM) programs, Carolyn will oversee EasyPost’s efforts to increase brand awareness and drive revenue. Prior to joining EasyPost, Carolyn led the marketing team at shipping software provider ProShip, where she helped drive strong, double-digit growth in sales pipeline and software revenues.
“EasyPost is widely considered the most innovative technology company in the shipping and logistics industry,” said Wilson. “Jarrett and his team understand the complex needs of today’s online merchants and are quick to deliver new partnerships and features to help their customers stay ahead of economic disruptions and the competition. I couldn’t be more excited to join the EasyPost team as we embark on the next stage of growth.”
EasyPost claims that its shipping, tracking, and address verification APIs for USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL and more have proven to save online merchants up to 74% on their annual shipping expenditures.
