Parcel+Post Expo: the world’s largest parcel event opens its doors this month
Parcel+Post Expo returns to Amsterdam later this month with a packed schedule of conference sessions, awards programmes, and leaders forums, held alongside an exhibition hall featuring hundreds of companies showcasing the latest technologies and solutions on offer to the global parcel and logistics sectors.
The event, which is being held at the RAI Amsterdam on October 22 to 24, will feature 250 exhibitors, the Innovation Forum, the UPU World Leaders Forum, the PIP & C2P Startup Innovation Award competition, and the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards, plus a brand-new event for 2024: the HUB – the Logistics for E-Commerce Summit, which is co-located with Parcel+Post Expo.

The exhibition and Innovation Forum
The exhibition will host companies showcasing everything from autonomous lockers, digital tools, label printers and robotic picking solutions to electric and self-driving vehicles, sorters, self-service kiosks, digital twins, out-of-home (OOH) delivery solutions, AI and image recognition software, track and trace tools, and cargo bikes.
Meanwhile, the Innovation Forum, which will run on October 22-24, will include guides to rolling out parcel locker and OOH networks; talks on changes in the postal landscape and the use of AI and big data for smart logistics; and sessions on urban deliveries, sustainability, and autonomous solutions.
Leading speakers in the Innovation Forum include Professor Sven Kukemelk, VP of International Business at Omniva discussing how the operator has coped with changes in the postal landscape; Jan Van Roey, Head of International at Poste Italiane talking about smooth customs clearances; and Mengzhou Wang, Head of Business Development, Northeast European market at Cainiao, discussing the future of autonomous delivery.
The UPU World Leaders Forum
Meanwhile, the UPU World Leaders Forum, which will run on Tuesday October 22 and Wednesday October 23, will this year celebrate 150 years of the UPU. The theme for this event is, “150 years of enabling communication and empowering people across nations.”
The forum will include discussions on empowering women leaders to shape the future of the post; artificial intelligence; intelligent solutions for the postal sector; cybersecurity; and partnerships.
The UPU will also host a special reception in celebration of its 150th anniversary on Tuesday October 22 at 12:30-13:30 in Hall 10 and will present its Delivered Duty Paid project on Wednesday October 23 at 09:30-10:30 on its stand, number 10.427.
Awards programmes
Parcel+Post Expo will also host two awards programmes. The first – the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards – will be presented during a drinks reception on day one of the event (October 22). The categories for this programme include Service Provider of the Year, Supplier of the Year, Business Diversification of the Year and Last Mile Delivery Innovation of the Year.
The second awards programme is the PIP & C2P (connect2posts) Startup Innovation Award 2024. This competition will also take place on day one of Parcel+Post Expo and is a start-up focused event. The start-ups will present their new solutions to a judging panel throughout the day and winners will be chosen in three categories – first and last mile, processes, digital and data, and e-commerce, retail and cross border.
An overall winner will then also be chosen to receive the PIP Start-up Innovation Award 2024. This award will be presented at the end of the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards.
Connect2posts – a platform for new technologies and startups in the postal and logistics ecosystem – will also be hosting its annual startup innovation showcase and networking event on October 24.
The HUB – Logistics for E-Commerce Summit
Finally, new for 2024 is The Hub – Logistics for E-commerce Summit, which will be co-located with Parcel+Post Expo and will run on October 22-24. According to the event organisers, this event will be “innovative and immersive” and will provide “provide valuable insight into the evolving world of everything that goes on behind the scenes.”
The event will include keynote presentations covering the evolving landscape of e-commerce logistics, panel discussions exploring key topic and trends, and case studies from leading e-commerce firms, logistics providers and suppliers. Speakers include executives from FedEx, La Poste Groupe, Pos Malaysia, and Körber.
