Swiss Post unveils simplified logo for 175th anniversary
A new-look logo as a birthday present. Swiss Post is modernising and above all simplifying its tri-lingual logo to celebrate its 175th anniversary on 1 January 2024.
The current logo combines a red Swiss cross with the words Die Post (German), La Poste (French) or La Posta (Italian) depending on which part of multi-lingual Switzerland it is used in.
In future, the much simpler logo will consist of a stylized red Swiss cross next to an eye-catching black “P” on a Swiss Post yellow background. This cost-saving single logo, replacing the 15 variants of the current one, will be rolled out gradually and used throughout the country.
Unifying logo
“In future, Swiss Post will use just one logo. This logo will be a unifying element across the different language regions, as Swiss Post is in everyday life,” explained Roberto Cirillo, CEO of Swiss Post.
He emphasised: “The new brand image reflects a modern postal service powering a modern Switzerland, right on time for our 175th anniversary. The logo is also the expression of an evolving, future-oriented Swiss Post.”
Public transport subsidiary PostBus will also use the new logo, with the famous post horn added to its branding on a case-by-case basis. The PostFinance Ltd logo will be reviewed and developed during the course of the current strategy period.
