Start-ups pick up Deliver awards
Five start-ups rather than famous brands won all the awards voted by retailers at this week's Deliver conference in London.
Some 800 participants, including about 450 retailers, took part in the two-day event at Twickenham rugby stadium which combined presentations, panel discussions, workshops, customer-vendor meetings and an e-logistics marketplace with 61 exhibitors.
This year’s ‘Customer Experience’ award went to Urbantz, a Brussels-based technology company enabling retailers to manage urban deliveries and optimise delivery rounds.
ShipUp, which aims to transform shipping and deliveries into marketing, walked off with the ‘Game Changer’ award.
The ‘Cool Vendor’ award was won by Paack, a Spanish technology company offering rapid or agreed-time final-mile deliveries for omni-channel retailers taking advantage of their local stores.
The ‘Rising Star’, according to the retailer vote, is Freighthub, a German-based digital freight forwarder that uses technology to offer air and sea freight forwarding between Europe, Asia and North America.
Seven Senders, a Berlin-based delivery platform that connects retailers with delivery providers, won the Sustainability award.
