Parcel+Post Expo set to draw over 3,000 participants to Amsterdam

More than 3,000 visitors from 100 countries are expected to flock to Parcel+Post Expo 2019 in Amsterdam next week to see countless new technologies and discuss top issues with leading industry experts.

Running from October 1 – 3, this year’s show and conference, for which CEP-Research is once again a media partner, will provide the most significant opportunity for postal operators, couriers, e-fulfilment companies, cross-border shippers and delivery companies to debate current issues and form business relationships on a global scale, according to organiser UKI Media.

The show, with more than 200 international exhibitors, will feature big names, specialist providers and new faces in the world of postal and parcel technology. Visitors will be able to inform themselves about the latest developments and innovations in a wide range of services and products, including:

  • Fulfilment innovation & new delivery technology
  • Intelligent logistics systems & robotics
  • Zero-emission fleets
  • Drone parcel delivery & autonomous delivery vehicles
  • The Internet of Things (IoT) & big data solutions

The exhibition will once again present a wide range of core technologies for the postal and parcel sectors, such as:

  • Digital marketing and e-commerce technology
  • Warehousing, packaging and order fulfilment
  • Automation, sorting and handling of letters, parcels and packets
  • Last-mile delivery solutions, from parcel lockers to handheld devices
  • Logistics management, optimisation, route planning
  • Cross-border integration, customs solutions, parcel insurance
  • Security solutions and safety products
  • Post office counter and POD solutions
  • Direct mail automation

Meanwhile, the accompanying Parcel+Post Expo Conference has a packed three-day agenda featuring over 150 expert speakers in 12 different sessions debating and discussing the key issues and future for the global postal and parcel delivery industry.

With digital disruption now a feature of most industries, the conference will feature several sessions looking directly at advances in autonomous delivery, logistics, robotics, automation and AI. Other sessions will deal with the increasing challenges of logistics in urban areas, including innovations and options in the last mile, driven in large part by expansions in e-commerce.

There is also an intensive, interactive workshop program, covering topics including PUDOs & lockers, customer engagement, digital transformation, and social media and communications.

In addition, the invitation-only UPU World CEO Forum on Monday September 30 will provide executives and senior managers with the opportunity to discuss the consequences of this week’s UPU Extraordinary Congress in Geneva as well as a wide range of other major topics for the postal sector.
