POST-EXPO returns ‘home’ to Hamburg for 22nd show
POST-EXPO, the largest international trade fair and conference for the global postal industry, is ‘coming home’ to Hamburg next month for its 22nd show with a packed line-up of major exhibitors and top conference speakers.
According to Tony Robinson, CEO of UKi Media & Events and founder of POST-EXPO, the northern German city is the event’s ‘spiritual home’ as it was there that POST-EXPO was first staged back in 1997.
The show’s organisers are hoping to attract about 3,000 visitors from over 100 countries to the four-day event, which runs from Monday October 8 to Thursday October 11. This would be a similar number to last year’s event in Geneva.
POST-EXPO 2018 will bring together CEOs, senior directors and managers, key decision makers, suppliers and buyers from all over the world to exchange ideas and information about the future development of the postal, parcel and express industries.
Once again, POST-EXPO will be the industry’s global meeting-place, offering postal operators, couriers, e-fulfilment companies, cross-border shippers and delivery companies the ideal setting to meet, talk business and discuss current trends and issues.
The 2018 POST-EXPO Conference will host expert speakers debating and discussing the key issues and future for the global postal and parcel delivery industry. Sessions this year include: e-commerce and last-mile delivery, logistics, digital disruption, strategic directions, autonomous futures, and expanding financial services, to name just a few. The Universal Postal Union conference sessions will focus on topics such as personal data privacy regulation, dealing with dangerous and prohibited goods, and a special invitation-only communications workshop for postal operators.
Among more than 150 speakers, the most ever, are leading postal and parcel industry figures such as Holger Winklbauer (CEO, International Post Corporation), Seong Ju Kang (President, Korea Post), Brody Buhler (Accenture). Garrett Bridgeman (Managing director - mails and parcels, An Post), Thomas Baldry (Senior vice president - international mail and international relations, Deutsche Post DHL), Clemens Beckmann (Executive vice president – innovation, Deutsche Post DHL), Olaf Klargaard (Group innovation director, DPD), Edouard Barreiro (Director for public affairs Western Europe, UPS), David C Williams (Governor, US Postal Service), Lemuel Silva (Head of e-commerce, parcels and international business, Correios - Brazilian Post), Oleksandr Pertsovskyi Chief operating officer, Ukraine Post).
