Postal strategies, e-commerce potential and challenges, and all kinds of new technologies will be among the key topics under discussion and products on display at Post-Expo in Geneva next week.
Some 3,500 executives and managers from the worldwide postal industry will head to the Swiss city for three days of discussions, meetings and conference sessions and to visit the large-scale exhibition with more than 100 exhibitors. Last year’s event was attended by more that 3,600 visitors from 97 countries, including 117 different postal operators and more than 130 courier and express companies.
“Post-Expo is the leading global event for the world’s postal, parcel and express business. In addition, the three-day conference will give participants the chance to hear leading industry figures present the key issues, challenges and opportunities, including cross-border, last-mile fulfilment, and growing and developing SME customers.
More than 400 of the world’s leading industry experts from postal operators, courier and express companies, as well as fulfilment and logistics companies, will debate and discuss emerging disruptive technologies, as well as changing business models and emerging opportunities across the postal and parcel sector.
Major technology topics this year include smart cities, Internet of Things, big data, blockchain, cloud computing. There will also be dedicated sessions on drone delivery and robotic last-mile solutions, autonomous vehicles, financial services, e-commerce and cross-border challenges.
At the free-to-attend POST-EXPO exhibition, visitors will get a first-hand look at new services, innovations and technology that can help to transform and develop their business. In addition, the LIVE Innovation Showcase provides a platform where delegates will have the chance to see demonstrations of the latest and future technologies.
